Job Opportunity: Project Manager


The Project Manager is responsible for executing projects that are overseen by the Executive Director, as well as for managing all aspects of the Farm Trails office and operations. Farm Trails’ annual projects include: Membership Drive, Map & Guide production, Annual Meeting, county-wide seasonal Farm Tours, and the Gravenstein Apple Fair.

• Interest in and enthusiasm for supporting local food systems and cultivating community

• Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Google Docs, Trello, Constant Contact & WordPress

• Experience in the non-profit sector and with project management & event production

• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

• Impeccable organizational skills and superlative attention to detail

• Capacity to prioritize tasks, think critically, and problem-solve

• Strong information-gathering and analysis skills

• Willingness to clearly and directly communicate needs in the workplace

• Demonstrated integrity, professional judgment, initiative, and collaborative approach

• Ability to work flexible hours at times, including evenings and weekends

• Willingness to use own vehicle on occasional SCFT business w/ reimbursement for mileage/gas


• Manages annual Membership Drive: recruits and processes Members & Partners

• Assists with Map & Guide publication and design, including generating & formatting content and securing advertising for the publication

• Acts as Assistant Manager for Gravenstein Apple Fair (coordinating & supporting Apple Core planning team and event venues, designing promotional materials and merchandise, managing logistics, tracking contracts, organizing supplies and setup/take-down, serving as point person on-site, etc).

• Runs seasonal tours, overseeing all aspects (hosts/destinations, program/online map, marketing, logistics, ticketing, surveys, reports, etc.)

• Serves as liaison to members, volunteers, vendors, and affiliated organizations & community partners

• Updates SCFT and GAF websites and tracks analytics of sites • Helps create blogs and monthly newsletters for membership and public • Represents Farm Trails at community and partner events

• Prepares accounts receivable & accounts payable, runs PayPal reports, makes bank deposits, coordinates with bookkeeper

• Creates and maintains project management docs for all events and major projects

• Oversees creation and distribution of promotional & marketing materials

• Maintains SCFT & GAF databases and contacts

• Tracks and manages all aspects of grants (timelines, submissions, copies, collateral, etc.)

• Receives and responds to Farm Trails office inquiries and communications received via phone, mail & email, and oversees member and event correspondence and mail-outs

• Keeps calendar of events in-house and on local networks

• Performs general office duties such as copying, faxing, paper & electronic filing, and procurement/management of office supplies
